The History and benefits of a vitamin everyone thinks they know about
Vitamin C has become the ubiquitous buzz word for “cold remedy”. It is an amazing vitamin and does so much more than just help you get over your cold faster. What do we really know about Vitamin C and how it contributes to our overall health? Did you know that the human body does not make its own vitamin C but animals still do, producing roughly 10-12 grams a day? (Wooldridge, M., 1993). Here are 5 links to explore

resource list
There is so much valuable information available today to help better understnd and educate ourselves on what diet really means in terms of how we can maintain and preserve good health throughout our lifetime.
I have provided 15 sources, which can be accessed here, of valuable information on the subject and psychology of nutrition and how it affects us. Not just physically but emotionally and spiritually as well.
I have included 5 websites, 3 books, 4 TED Talks and 3 YouTube Videos. All of which provide insights, new and interesting information on the ability of the right kind of food to help provide, nutritional, physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
One book of particular interest to me is the controversial book Food Politics written by the food critic, educator and author Marion Nestle. How the food industry influences nutrition and health pretty much says it all.
resources for stress management and prevention
Stress is an interesting and respected subject. And it has the potential to kill us. It is a silent killer that most of the time we aren’t really aware of until we realize what is happening to us too late. Being aware of our stressors and our responses to them, will not mearly keep us alive longer, but help us to cope with and handle our stressors from a much healthier perspective.
I’ve included a fun video, on Psychoneuroimmunology, the science behind the stress response. How it defines the stress reaponse and what happens in our body during times of stress.
How to take a Spiritual and psychological inventory
The one glaring point that jumps out at me, is how difficult it is for some of us to tweeze apart the differences between spirituality, living a spiritual existence and religion or being religious.
For some people, the idea of spirituality, consistently remains an enigma. Probing the genesis of one’s belief system can be an uncomfortable place for some of us to go. Simply because we’ve never really had to think about it. And now you’re asking me to think about it. What does it mean and how do I apply this conept to my daily existance? How do I recognize the soul directed choices that can change my life?
Looking at the idea of spirituality in a more thoughtful and conscientious way, by asking questions in a way that can help people think about their own views (or lack of) on how they perceive the concept of spirituality, can provide them with a better understanding of how easy and yes, simple it is to apply that concept to their own belief system.
